Clouds darkened the skies at RamboOo Arena as 12000 spectators turned up for the match. Dirk Hutterd was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jonas Kobe and Frederic de Zwaan. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for RamboOo. Lineup: Sufi - Ahmed, Harawi, Uyaynah, Bin-Saleh - Rashid, Musa, Bin-Mustafa, Fudayl - Bistami, Dabdoub.

Makkah decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Marzęda - Hanzali, Contestabile, Muurman - Hanna, Ismail, Crawford, Kosterink, Vujasinović - Mazakovský, Al-Hana.

Makkah tried to focus their attacks down the middle. After 4 minutes, Makkah put themselves up 0 - 1, as D. Mazakovský finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. Makkah increased the lead to 0 - 2 as N. Al-Hana scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. RamboOo's M. Bin-Saleh had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 17 minutes having been played. M. Mundakar was the replacement. After 20 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for D. Mazakovský who increased Makkah's lead to 0 - 3. Confident in their lead, Makkah's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 36 minutes, Makkah's N. Al-Hana burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 4. RamboOo made it 1 - 4 as S. Musa got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to J. Uyaynah who whipped a low drive in off the far post. Central attacks were the recipe of the day for Makkah, as they moved the ball from the wings to the middle with startling regularity. 38 minutes into the match, H. Hanzali came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. It was 1 - 4 at the break. Possession in this half belonged to Makkah, who controlled the ball 71 percent of the time.

Makkah increased their lead after 53 minutes when S. Hanna broke through on the right, upping the score to 1 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. The coach of Makkah was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 68 minutes, T. Modeste came on for B. Ismail. Makkah players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. The visitors' D. Mazakovský took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 71 minutes into the match. 1 - 6 for Makkah. By then D. Mazakovský had scored three goals - a hat trick! After 80 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave D. Mazakovský a chance to increase the lead for Makkah, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 7. RamboOo reduced the lead to 2 - 7 with 82 minutes on the clock when M. Fudayl got the best of a ball floated in from the left. D. Mazakovský left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 84 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. N. Hamdan was the replacement. Makkah had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. B. Vujasinović received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 85 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 2 - 8. The Makkah fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. H. Hanzali of Makkah received a yellow card after 86 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Makkah's N. Hamdan got himself booked for a foul. Makkah claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 78 percent.

The most dominating RamboOo player was without a doubt M. Fudayl. A. Sufi was a disappointment, however. Most important Makkah player was J. Kosterink. T. Muurman on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 8.
