Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 46000 at
Spangsbro Arena today.
Erik Peszeni was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Aleksander Pala and
Arend Wessemius.
Spangs 64 started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Saarnijoki - Paulsson, Stemann, Moreń - Špinka, Păunescu, Kapeta, Măruţoiu, Boubbou - Ringstad, Vasiliev.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for FCF.
The following players had been chosen: Nibe - Bryde Andersen, Lyhne - Kim, Fadl, Bøge, Vandahl, Sellerup - Astrup, Grønlund, Lieberkind.
After a fine move down the middle
L. Ringstad nearly gave the home side a goal after 12 minutes. However the finishing shot went just wide.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 25 minutes into the match left FCF's
O. Sellerup completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
M. Špinka made one of his many fine passes from the wing into the middle 30 minutes into the match.
D. Vasiliev bravely attempted to execute a diving header and the ball was met firmly with his forehead for Spangs 64. 1 - 1.
31 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Spangs 64 to take the lead after a good cross from the right found
L. Ringstad alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post.
35 minutes into the game,
M. Špinka had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
B. Frank.
What ever got into
A. Măruţoiu, the crowd mumbled, as he suddenly struck a cross pass through his own defence - ending up right in front of FCF's
J. Grønlund, who easily put the ball away for 1 - 2 after 37 minutes.
Due to some great work on the right wing Spangs 64's
A. Măruţoiu was able to even the score after 42 minutes to make the score 2 - 2.
2 - 2 was the score after the first half.
Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.
A penalty was given after 56 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 2 - 3.
D. Kim was the scorer.
A penalty was awarded after 62 minutes, and
D. Kim made the most of his chance to put FCF up by another goal. 2 - 4 for the visitors.
Some fine movement on the left led to a FCF goal after 69 minutes, making it 2 - 5.
B. Lieberkind was noted down as the scorer.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of FCF lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
With 71 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
D. Kim of FCF to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 2 - 6.
By then
D. Kim had scored three goals - a hat trick!
73 minutes into the game, FCF worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch.
Spangs 64 had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
Spangs 64's best player was
T. Kapeta.
On the other hand,
E. Saarnijoki's play was disheartening.
Most important FCF player was
S. Bøge.
However,
G. Astrup made a disastrous appearance.
