Clouds darkened the skies at FK Velnciems Arena as 1918 spectators turned up for the match. Kobe Beenkens was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tobias Tvedsborg and Rajko Vrkljan. Tinoco had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but P. Tomsons was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. A foul called during a VELNI counterattack resulted in a great chance to score, but S. Klismets's shot rattled off the post. 36 minutes into the game, Magrebunited seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a inadequate level of organisation. During the break, Magrebunited's coach went through the team's tactics yet again, getting them up to solid organisation. C. Baguena wanted to play on, but the Magrebunited coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by G. Fouchard. The referee showed VELNI's B. Khayretdinov the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 57 minutes in, Magrebunited appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only passable. VELNI's A. Matisons made a successful breakthrough on the left after 62 minutes and should have levelled the score, but instead he clipped it over the bar. After 64 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Ellis a chance to increase the lead for Magrebunited, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. Magrebunited had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Most important VELNI player was S. Klismets. P. Tomsons was a disappointment, however. Z. Michoński performed admirably for Magrebunited. J. Linet on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
