(377772257)

28-03-2012 16.30
It had rained all day, but 493 hardy fans still made it out to
DenBlåBølge.
Iván Fejér was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Massimo Malpezzi and
Leon Polit.
Greve started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Thorning - Mahmoud, Højsgaard, Vemmelund - Schnell, Christensen, Hillerup, Feldthaus, Jeppesen - Juel, Thorsgaard.
Donkeys tactics involved an interesting 3-5-1 combination.
They fielded: Valten - Wittendorff, Gammelgard, Bisp - Ehnle, Tygesen, Adamsen, Kammer, Solgaard - Therkildsen.
Greve seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
Donkeys took a creative approach on the field.
Some good play on the left wing created an opportunity for the visitors 10 minutes into the match, and
J. Tygesen wasn't about to let it go by. He got past the defenders and fired a shot that the keeper just missed. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
K. Wittendorff from Donkeys a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 18 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
20 minutes into the game, Donkeys seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
passable level of organisation.
After 21 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Donkeys found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
J. Schnell hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving Greve's
O. Christensen an easy chance to knock it in for 1 - 1.
The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when
L. Kammer was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 35 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead!
E. Thorsgaard of Greve was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
J. Tygesen came close to putting the visiting team one up 41 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
A. Thorning managed to tip the ball to a corner.
N. Nørreskov was called on to replace Greve's
J. Schnell after 42 minutes following a nasty collision.
It wasn't a pretty goal, but the free kick by
R. Højsgaard after 44 minutes somehow found its way past the keeper. Greve takes the lead, 2 - 1!
K. Wittendorff of Donkeys got sent off for kicking the ball after the whistle, a completely uncalled for move, earning him his second yellow card of the game.
2 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Possession in this half belonged to Donkeys, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.
Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Donkeys was able to get his message across, and raised Donkeys's organisation to
solid.
L. Kammer slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today.
Some brilliant football from the visitors' right wing resulted in a levelling of the score as Donkeys's
L. Adamsen put the ball in the onion bag after 70 minutes to make it 2 - 2.
Donkeys's
O. Solgaard gave the visitors a 2 - 3 lead after 79 minutes with a superb strike from the right.
With 80 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed
M. Therkildsen of Donkeys to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 2 - 4.
After 82 minutes of game time,
L. Kammer had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
A. Thorning was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
Greve's
M. Mahmoud was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 83 minutes.
84 minutes in, Donkeys appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
weak.
Thighs bulging,
J. Tygesen charged past the weaker players, seemingly oblivious to the rain.
Donkeys claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.
Greve's best player was
E. Thorsgaard.
However,
F. Jeppesen made a disastrous appearance.
Donkeys's top performer was clearly
J. Tygesen.
K. Bisp turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 4.
