The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 1810 had shown up at Estadio Gondar for the match. Jeppe Hermansson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Giorgio Letizia and Rubén Wiglaf. Gondar seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. Bluefeathers took a creative approach on the field. Y. Park behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 3 minutes as he gave the ball away to J. Raffestin. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. Some great play up the middle by Gondar led to a chance for M. Casagrande to score after 12 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. 19 minutes into the game, Gondar had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. After 23 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Bluefeathers found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. 26 minutes into the game, Gondar seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. G. Andrisano's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert G. Meunier was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Gondar. 1 - 0. After 32 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by A. Salvado might have resulted in another goal for Gondar. However, C. Kıymet made a spectacular save. Bluefeathers had a chance to level the score as N. Herceglić suddenly found himself free in the middle of the box with only the keeper to beat, but he misjudged the finish, and only managed to hit the bar. With 40 minutes played, Gondar put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to J. Raffestin, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. 41 minutes in, Bluefeathers appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. After 42 minutes, a long pass from Gondar's J. Thétiot caught the defence out of position. M. Casagrande collected the ball, and with the goal at his mercy calmly rolled the ball just inside the post. 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, Gondar's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave N. Herceglić from Bluefeathers a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 44 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Halftime score was 3 - 0. Gondar had most of the ball, with 66 percent of possession.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of Gondar was able to get his message across, and raised Gondar's organisation to solid. The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Bluefeathers had solid organisation. With 52 minutes played, Gondar's G. Meunier almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The referee showed Bluefeathers's C. Kim the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. A bit later, Bluefeathers's H. Lee easily reduced the lead to 3 - 1 after a misunderstanding in the home side's central defence. 82 minutes into the game, Bluefeathers seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a solid level of organisation. Possession in this half belonged to Gondar, who controlled the ball 65 percent of the time.

J. Raffestin performed admirably for Gondar. G. Andrisano turned in a dismal performance, however. Bluefeathers's best player was C. Kim. On the other hand, C. Kıymet's play was disheartening. The match ends 3 - 1.
