(377877250)

27-03-2012 19.10
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 684 had shown up at
Faro Nou Camp for the match.
Célestin Guerreiro was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Paweł Widera and
Felix Schupp.
Gaggio started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Urbanec - Orkutay, Bonetti, Møller Pedersen, Cuomo - Wenning, Maurice, Lafontaine, Fasoulis, Lora - Rahmwald.
Glinvasati decided to use a 2-5-3 set up.
Starters: Calante - Strocchi, Bourdon - Breit, Mocca, Lamoratta, Baronio, Boemo - Lucini, Zamana, Guhl.
After 24 minutes,
S. Maurice came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Gaggio the lead.
The visiting team's
A. Baronio was able to score the 1 - 1 equaliser with a header 30 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right.
1 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Glinvasati claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.
Many thought
S. Maurice ought to have been awarded a penalty 48 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around
J. Calante after a determined run through the middle.
W. Breit's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert
E. Lucini was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Glinvasati. 1 - 2.
Had it not been for one of the home defenders,
A. Zamana would have put Glinvasati up another goal 72 minutes into the match with his audacious lob from the right wing.
A handball in the penalty area gave the home team a penalty 74 minutes into the match, and
B. Rahmwald was able to score, taking the scoreline to 2 - 2.
85 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Gaggio to take the lead after a good cross from the right found
A. Cuomo alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 86 minutes into the match left Glinvasati's
W. Breit completely free to score. 2 - 3 for the visitors.
A. Mocca was, after 88 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper
J. Urbanec made the save.
Gaggio's
S. Maurice got himself booked for a foul.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Glinvasati, with 56 percent of the ball.
Gaggio's best player was
A. Cuomo.
G. Lora was a disappointment, however.
Glinvasati's top performer was clearly
F. Lamoratta.
G. Strocchi turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 2 - 3.
