After 52 minutes, Muroroa's W. Catello burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 6. M. Raminha could have put his team up another goal 53 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. 56 minutes into the game, Muroroa worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. Muroroa's W. Catello finished emphatically to make the score 0 -7 after 57 minutes, after the enigmatic D. Proietti pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence. That made three goals for W. Catello and he was marked down for the hat trick. With 58 minutes played, Muroroa put themselves up 0 - 8 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was D. Proietti. After 65 minutes, the Muroroa players received new instructions from their manager on how to keep in control of the game. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Muroroa coach let A. Donvito replace D. Proietti after 80 minutes. Muroroa claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 76 percent.
