previous 5/10 next 7/10  BSCFB 4 - 0 Művek (377888861)

Clouds darkened the skies at BSC Fanki-Boyss Arena as 2940 spectators turned up for the match. Nejc Dvorančič was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Oscar Corts and Anthony 'Nobby' Styles. BSCFB started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Sosa - Karshkov, Staubmann, Woodbury - Bossler, Bikácsy, Martins, Bossart, Fossum - Zotke, Bojin.

Művek tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Puente - Óvári, Törőcsik, Tumó, Selendy - Gindl, Laval, Göttling, Ramač, Tilmant - Soavã.

The wings were the focus of most of BSCFB's attacks today. BSCFB were very close to putting themselves one up after 28 minutes as J. Zotke got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. BSCFB took the lead after 29 minutes as a result of B. Staubmann's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. BSCFB put themselves up 2 - 0 when N. Bojin broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. M. Fossum squirmed through their central defence after 42 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, BSCFB's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. BSCFB had most of the ball, with 69 percent of possession.

BSCFB managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when N. Bojin cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. BSCFB's H. Bossler saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 52 minutes. A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 55 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but M. Puente got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar. With 57 minutes played, N. Bojin could have brought this one home for BSCFB as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Z. Bikácsy from BSCFB a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 76 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! N. Bojin unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Művek had to make a substitution after 81 minutes. W. Göttling limped off the field and was replaced by R. Górecki. BSCFB enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 66 percent of possession.

Most important BSCFB player was C. Bossart. N. Sosa was a disappointment, however. Művek's top performer was clearly R. Górecki. However, A. Óvári made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 0.
