2500 fans braved the pouring rain at
Michael Wittmann.
Luca Aliberti was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Reiner Mittner and
Martin Porse.
Atlantis started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Povlsen - Hodor, Reithmaier, Telepovský - Boglea, Neagu, Hausner, Patton, Atquet - Schenkhuizen, Dragschitz.
swissmade decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
They fielded: Pilot - Gavarró, Gjelsten, Kubalek - Meng, Hollenbach, Gélin, Lorch - Shovkoplias, Eisenhauer, Gomes.
swissmade used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
At 23 minutes played,
M. Telepovský came in from the right with the intention of giving Atlantis the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
A. Shovkoplias came close to putting the visiting team one up 24 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but
D. Povlsen managed to tip the ball to a corner.
A scuffle developed as players from both sides clashed following a tussle in the centre of the field 25 minutes into the match. After regaining order and consulting his linesman, the referee called Atlantis's
I. Hodor to one side and produced a red card for the player.
Atlantis made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left
F. Hausner completely alone with keeper
G. Pilot, who made a spectacular block.
34 minutes into the game, swissmade had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
wretched.
After 38 minutes, Atlantis's
D. Povlsen fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
After 41 minutes,
M. Telepovský came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Atlantis the lead.
Halftime score was 1 - 0.
Possession in this half belonged to Atlantis, who controlled the ball 68 percent of the time.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that swissmade had
inadequate organisation.
With 46 minutes played, the swissmade coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
X. Baehni came on,
G. Lorch had to leave the fray.
S. Boglea spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch.
After 50 minutes,
B. Dragschitz put Atlantis ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
The home side's
F. Schenkhuizen curled a free kick home after 60 minutes, putting Atlantis ahead 3 - 0.
After this, you could see that the players of Atlantis were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
swissmade needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 67 minutes
E. Eisenhauer made way for
S. Polston.
swissmade's
M. Hollenbach was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 77 minutes.
After 89 minutes swissmade's
U. Gélin contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game.
89 minutes into the game, swissmade seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a
inadequate level of organisation.

F. Hausner performed admirably for Atlantis.
On the other hand,
C. Patton's play was disheartening.
