FCWWFY 5 - 0 Zacatecas
(377980250)

04-04-2012 16.30
1573 spectators arrived at
White Hart Atletion, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Jos Boerboom was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Anton Stadlbauer and
Friso Ariaans.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for FCWWFY.
They fielded: Xuân Diệu - Vanhanen, Berntorp, Nilis - Engelund, Christensen, Vorre, Hamburger, Cánovas - Sommer, Nissen.
Zacatecas had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players took the field: Díaz - Dormois, Jelkić, Seitzer - Premoli, Vad, Zargar, Vesiropoulos, Bach Hansen - Dascãlu, Scheurwater.
The wings were the focus of most of Zacatecas's attacks today.
FCWWFY's
F. Nilis tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders.
Making his way up the middle 31 minutes into the match,
D. Vorre almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
M. Díaz blocked it to keep the score level.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 32 minute mark, FCWWFY's
K. Sommer hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
After 36 minutes,
T. Engelund came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving FCWWFY the lead.
With 42 minutes played, FCWWFY put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
J. Christensen, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
The FCWWFY free kick 43 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
K. Sommer, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 0!
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by FCWWFY, with 67 percent of the ball.
FCWWFY managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when
J. Nissen cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
Confident in their lead, FCWWFY's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as FCWWFY scored another to make it 5 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
T. Engelund after 54 minutes.
After 61 minutes, Zacatecas's
C. Vad fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit!
The coach of FCWWFY was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 74 minutes,
J. Etxeberría came on for
P. Cánovas.
F. Nilis was handed the FCWWFY captain's armband.
J. Etxeberría should probably have put his team up another goal after 77 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
M. Díaz kept the visitors in the game.
Possession in this half belonged to FCWWFY, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.
Most important FCWWFY player was
F. Nilis.
K. Sommer was a disappointment, however.
Zacatecas's best player was
T. Vesiropoulos.
However,
M. Díaz made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 5 - 0.
