Kings 5 - 0 TXELAS
(378081039)

04-04-2012 22.50
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 3210 that came out to
Dgeneration X Stadium.
Yke Helleman was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
José Aunes and
Dino Vigani.
Kings had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation.
The following players took the field: Van Thillo - Dudley, Römisch, Kapataidakis - Fernande, Martins, Pâslaru, Meškić - Mišun, Gandarillas, Brotfeld.
TXELAS tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Starters: Ciudad - Watanabe, Zolezzi, 尾崎 (Ozaki) - Samanamud, Esponda, Victor Jaya, González, Valdivia - Pacahuala, Panta.
Kings seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
TXELAS clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
It was obvious that team Kings had instructions to attack in the middle instead of on the wings.
C. Brotfeld gave Kings the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0
Kings solidified their lead at the 36 minute mark, as
X. Gandarillas dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0.
After 38 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
X. Gandarillas might have resulted in another goal for Kings. However,
J. Ciudad made a spectacular save.
M. Mišun could have increased the lead after 39 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park.
TXELAS's
W. Valdivia was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 40 minutes.
2 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Kings claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
TXELAS had a fair chance to reply after 51 minutes due to some fine moves down the left, but in the end
J. Samanamud was slow to keep up with the play and was unable to make it into the penalty box to apply a finish.
Cheers filled the stadium as
V. Römisch broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to Kings.
Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile
J. Zolezzi.
Kings put themselves up 4 - 0 when
V. Römisch broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
The players of Kings now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
X. Gandarillas didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play.
The Kings free kick 80 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
M. Mišun, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 5 - 0!
Kings had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.
Most important Kings player was
Ş. Pâslaru.
B. Van Thillo on the other hand, had a terrible day.
E. Esponda performed admirably for TXELAS.
J. Ciudad turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 5 - 0.
