A scorching day at Sportpark Eulo, where 50000 spectators were in place for today's match. Iiro Marttanen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Matthies Teichert and Luca Furlan. Rot-Weiß tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players took the field: Punesch - Ojeda, Géry, Czarniak - Tschemmer, Hermanshain, Arabul, Heimer, Schmoellerl - Spörck, Vallori.

Juventus had chosen a strategic 5-5-0 formation. The following players had been chosen: Houze - Agüera, Blardone, Jindrich, Zeddelmann, Bosquet - Johansson, Grimpilas, Orner, Schur, Tobón -.

Juventus used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. Slack defending gave Rot-Weiß a chance to take the lead with 9 minutes played, but F. Czarniak's cross from the left flank was fumbled in front of the goal and easily dealt with by the opposition. Juventus's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. 40 minutes in, the referee awarded Rot-Weiß a penalty. M. Schmoellerl coolly slotted it home for a 1 - 0 lead. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Rot-Weiß had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

The crowd was amused as V. Heimer of Rot-Weiß used a few interesting tricks and dribbles to get into the penalty box. The finish by M. Schmoellerl wasn't very amusing, however, as the ball flew way over the crossbar. The sunny day didn't make things easy for C. Géry who didn't seem his usual powerful self on the pitch. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Juventus's C. Jindrich was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. M. Celín was given a chance to change things around. After 70 minutes, Juventus switched A. Tobón with C. Xarpell, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. As the game started to slip away for Juventus, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. The Juventus players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. After 70 minutes, X. Bosquet sent the corner kick right to R. Zeddelmann who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 1! Several players seemed a little dazed by the warm weather, and were repeatedly tricked by the clever and agile W. Hermanshain. Rot-Weiß were very close to putting themselves one up after 84 minutes as R. Tschemmer got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide. Rot-Weiß took the lead 85 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as H. Vallori elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. Juventus pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Possession in this half belonged to Rot-Weiß, who controlled the ball 62 percent of the time.

Most important Rot-Weiß player was W. Hermanshain. However, R. Tschemmer made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Juventus player was without a doubt M. Celín. X. Bosquet was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
