Confident in their lead, Star's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 27 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed J. Loaeza to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5. Halftime score was 0 - 5. Possession in this half belonged to Star, who controlled the ball 74 percent of the time.

With 57 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed A. Forchhammer of Star to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 6. A drive down the left side allowed A. Flensburger to get in close and score another goal for Star after 59 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 7. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for A. Flensburger. 76 minutes in, Devils appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. K. Pszeniczna of Star took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 80 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 8. H. Castillo performed admirably for Devils. B. Tyler on the other hand, had a terrible day. Star's best player was H. Kreienbühl. On the other hand, C. Figueroa's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 8.
