(378235887)

11-04-2012 15.20
2307 spectators had come to
Luff Arena this cloudy day.
Bolesław Niedośpiał was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Maurizio Paolinelli and
Morten Rasmussen.
Luff decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Lineup: Ledanois - Charbonnier, Danelski, Herbez - Inglin, Duplessy, Guiberna, Konstantinov - Woels, Holtgreve, Ulfsson.
Club tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Gherghel - Szostek, Bielicki, Wojcik, Stachańczyk - Czarczyński, Loretz, Telišman, Menten - Kyulev, Masotti.
A. Konstantinov of Luff was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
A. Konstantinov of Luff seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by
S. Guiberna.
Luff's
L. Inglin saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 30 minutes.
37 minutes in, Luff's
J. Ulfsson received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
The player down was
A. Telišman. The Club bench looked worried for a while, but in the end he managed to get up.
Luff managed to extend their lead to 2 - 0 when
J. Ulfsson cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
Halftime score was 2 - 0.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Luff, with 71 percent of the ball.
After 46 minutes, Club switched
A. Kyulev with
R. Potera, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Club's
E. Masotti was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 46 minutes.
A. Aesma was given a chance to change things around.
Given a free kick close to the byline, Luff tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
B. Woels slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 3 - 0, 58 minutes into the game.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
J. Danelski squirmed through their central defence after 60 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
By now, the players in Luff felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
S. Szostek from Club a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 64 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Club needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 70 minutes
D. Gherghel made way for
G. Schwezmann.
A free kick just outside of the visitors' penalty area after 72 minutes could have resulted in another goal, but
G. Schwezmann got a hand out and tipped the ball over the bar.
Luff solidified their lead at the 73 minute mark, as
J. Herbez dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0.
77 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as
A. Aesma anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 5 - 1.
Luff claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.
Luff's top performer was clearly
M. Holtgreve.
However,
L. Ledanois made a disastrous appearance.
Most important Club player was
K. Czarczyński.
G. Schwezmann on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 5 - 1.
