Obranič broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 2, much to the home crowd's dismay. Csincs's M. Ahac set up a perfect opportunity for R. Meeks, but the latter failed to score. With 24 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed V. Gašparič of Katoliki_ to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 3. The head of R. Meeks connected with a corner kick after 25 minutes, and the ball ended up with B. Košmerl of Csincs who blasted the ball into the net, making the score 1 - 3. M. Ahac's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert A. Jurič was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Csincs. 2 - 3. Halftime score was 2 - 3. Katoliki_ claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 59 percent.

53 minutes into the game, J. Castellsis came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. Katoliki_ showed their counterattack skill 54 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with M. Duda scoring uncontested for 2 - 4. The players of Katoliki_ now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Č. Kastrin from Katoliki_ a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 78 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
