18-04-2012 09.45
The 1662 fans in attendance at
STÉCÉ Arena were roasting in the hot sun.
Tomas Gädicke was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Michael Provst and
Hedde Thomas.
Szénbányász started off with a 5-3-2 lineup.
They fielded: Váradi - Vörös, Hegedűs, Harasztia, Pál, Vayer - Kós, Mátó, Mucsi - Simkó, Horváth.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for NRFC.
The following players had been chosen: D'Hooghe - Matsson, Ebisawa, Truniger - Jordán, Szabó, bin Mohd Aziz, Somogyi - Storniolo, Domahidy, Uruz.
Szénbányász seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
A penalty was given after 16 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 0 - 1.
A. bin Mohd Aziz was the scorer.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
D. Horváth from Szénbányász a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 23 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
A loud groan was heard from the fans of NRFC, as
G. Jordán left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.
E. Csertői took his place on the field.
Szénbányász were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally.
A. Truniger of NRFC received a yellow card after 40 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
41 minutes into the game, NRFC were awarded a penalty and
A. bin Mohd Aziz was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 2 rolling the ball in by the right post.
42 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Szénbányász's
D. Horváth received his second yellow card and was sent off.
It was 0 - 2 at the break.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by NRFC, with 56 percent of the ball.
P. Vörös wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat.
NRFC increased their lead after 60 minutes when
C. Storniolo broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 3, much to the home crowd's dismay.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
B. Szabó after 65 minutes, and prevented NRFC from going up another goal.
After 70 minutes, Szénbányász were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise.
D. Mucsi did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans.
It wasn't a good day at all for
J. Hegedűs. His powerful style of play just didn't fit the bill on this warm day.
NRFC enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.
Most important Szénbányász player was
J. Harasztia.
On the other hand,
M. Kós's play was disheartening.
NRFC's top performer was clearly
A. bin Mohd Aziz.
C. Storniolo on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 3.
