4180 punters turned up at THE Stadium, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Vendelín Chroustovský was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kick van den Bosch and Achraf Tahiri. Glap had chosen a strategic 4-5-1 formation. After 5 minutes, the Schwalbe coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving S. Pinoniemi off the field. M. Duhamel took his place. Glap's F. de Sevilla left the field after 16 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was B. Booth. Glap took the lead after 25 minutes as a result of B. Borras's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0. D. Bogar should probably have put his team up another goal after 28 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by B. Paštar kept the visitors in the game. R. Kublar-Glueck's speed is always a threat when he gets a little room to move, and 31 minutes into the match was no different as he broke free of his man to send a delightful through ball to C. Çağlayan who knocked it in for Schwalbe. 1 - 1! Glap fans held their breath as P. Skytt scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! 2 - 1 was the score after the first half. Glap enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 73 percent of possession.

The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Schwalbe's coach gave A. Caprarelli the opportunity the player had been hoping for. L. Quattrocchi reluctantly left the field. Glap's G. Forciniti increased the lead to 3 - 1, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 53 minutes. After 63 minutes Schwalbe's C. Çağlayan contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. 65 minutes into the match A. Flos put Glap ahead 4 - 1 with a truly marvelous free kick. D. Culcasi could have increased the lead after 69 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. G. Forciniti unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. Glap's D. Laumonier got himself booked for a foul. 75 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as B. Booth broke through, making the score 5 - 1 for Glap. Confident in their lead, Glap's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. G. Forciniti of Glap received a yellow card after 77 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Schwalbe needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 85 minutes T. Simov made way for K. Stadtrand. Glap claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 72 percent.

Glap's top performer was clearly D. Culcasi. J. Teinilä turned in a dismal performance, however. M. Düş performed admirably for Schwalbe. L. Schraaven on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 1.
