2129 punters turned up at
Polski Teatr Marzeń, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Viggo Engell was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Tobias Tvedsborg and
Guy Tzur.
Drakoni tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Lineup: Sawala - Jacquemin, Jułga, Solskiy - Emced, Perdomo, Koj, Fábregas, Aittolampi - Wyroda, Rudak.
A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for Jeanne.
They fielded: Varkevisser - Dula, Diaoune, Kaloga, Manzanares - Baraly, Delo, Bakhayokho, Boubacar, War - Benaglio.
Jeanne were determined to use their long shot ability.
After some beautiful movement down the left wing,
W. Rudak scored for Drakoni putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 10 minutes.
Drakoni put themselves up 2 - 0 when
W. Rudak broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake.
The players of Drakoni now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
With 41 minutes played,
A. Aittolampi of Drakoni fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0.
Drakoni enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
T. Wyroda left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
J. Pagliardini was the replacement.
59 minutes into the game, Drakoni seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
passable.
After 60 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and
D. Perdomo gave the Drakoni supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0.
Jeanne reduced the lead after 66 minutes to 3 - 1 as
F. War easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right.
67 minutes into the game,
W. Koj had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
D. Jackson.
87 minutes into the game, Drakoni had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
poor.
D. Perdomo increased the lead for Drakoni to 4 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
With 88 minutes played, Jeanne's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
I. Diaoune he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 4 - 2.
Drakoni's
N. Jacquemin had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 89 minutes having been played.
E. Flórez was the replacement.
Drakoni claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.
Drakoni's top performer was clearly
D. Fábregas.
However,
A. Aittolampi made a disastrous appearance.
Jeanne's best player was
G. Benaglio.
G. Manzanares turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 4 - 2.
