17-04-2012 19.30
2197 spectators had found their way to
Savsko igrišče, despite the heavy rain.
Jordi Roura was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Fredrik Falin and
Camillo Barbanti.
Savc decided to use a 2-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Valckx - Sevilla Lara, Németh - Ralfs, Joarză, Kirchner, Cīrulis, Rembach - Caffaro, Torrecillas.
A 5-5-0 alignment was the formation of choice for Nord-Ost.
Lineup: Mattesini - Loiacono, Avrahami, Rampone, Altmann, Olmedo Ramos - Sandell, Polizzi, Kerachev, Järvinen, Adin -.
Savc mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle.
Nord-Ost preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance.
Nord-Ost's
A. Rampone refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 33 minutes.
37 minutes in, Savc appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
inadequate.
40 minutes into the game, Savc seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
The rain made it hard for players like
S. Kerachev to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day.
A penalty was given after 42 minutes, allowing the visitors to gain the lead: 0 - 1.
R. Loiacono was the scorer.
Savc's
J. Caffaro got himself booked for a foul.
Nord-Ost were forced into a substitution as
S. Adin couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
İ. Elçibəy to come in off the bench.
0 - 1 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Nord-Ost, with 65 percent of the ball.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Savc had
solid organisation.
İ. Elçibəy held up a Nord-Ost attack after 61 minutes, waited until
A. Rampone was in shooting position, and then elegantly set him up.
A. Rampone didn't disappoint his team mates, and from a distance he curled the ball with precision to the right of the keeper making it 0 - 2.
After 68 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Savc found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
With 70 minutes played, Nord-Ost's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to
G. Polizzi he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 0 - 3.
The players of Nord-Ost now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
İ. Elçibəy of Nord-Ost took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 76 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 4.
The home team's supporters got excited again when
C. Torrecillas broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 1 - 4.
83 minutes into the game, Savc had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
poor.
Nord-Ost had most of the ball, with 62 percent of possession.
Most important Savc player was
A. Joarză.
R. Rembach on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Nord-Ost's best player was
S. Mattesini.
C. Altmann was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 1 - 4.
