Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 846 to
Arena dei Grifoni.
Carlos Martín Talamas was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Giuseppe Villani and
Martin Penđer.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for ZenaRedBlu.
They fielded: Nocetti - Salomoni, Simonti, Palese - Melick, Bagnato, Fornara, Grimm, Dolejší - Trombini, Girardelli.
Sporting started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.

L. Soragna, who made a spectacular block.
The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 16 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from
I. Fornara, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing.
ZenaRedBlu's
J. Dolejší showed off his trademark ability to do the unexpected with a tricky pass after 19 minutes. Unfortunately,
T. Trombini was startled by the play and wasn't able to control the finish.
Coming through the middle
D. Hielz almost scored the equaliser for Sporting after 20 minutes, but
N. Nocetti made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post.
The home side's
T. Trombini came close to extending the lead 23 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but
L. Soragna managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop.
It was 1 - 0 at the break.
ZenaRedBlu had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.
The visitors'
N. Pitault was alert after a cross coming in from the left, levelling the score at 1 - 1 after 51 minutes.
Y. Mannazzu would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise.
B. Seghieri entered the game for Sporting as the match clock showed 65 minutes.
Down the middle came
G. Quattrini, making a fantastic play that nearly had Sporting take the lead after 68 minutes, but
N. Nocetti preserved the tie.
70 minutes into the game, Sporting wanted to bring some new energy to their game.
P. Pamparana gave
P. Vesterell a quick hug as he left the field.
ZenaRedBlu took the lead 70 minutes in, as
C. Palese broke through on the left and put the 2 - 1 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
ZenaRedBlu increased the lead as
F. Girardelli struck to make the score 3 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper.
The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed Sporting's coach gave
D. Di pierro the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
S. Solinas reluctantly left the field.
Sporting claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 56 percent.
ZenaRedBlu's best player was
E. Melick.
G. Salomoni turned in a dismal performance, however.
P. Vesterell performed admirably for Sporting.
D. Di pierro on the other hand, had a terrible day.
