A scorching day at
Unikatos Arena, where 857 spectators were in place for today's match.
Leo Gâlcã was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Linus Gustavsson and
Erik Pfannschmidt.
Unikatos tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Mińkowski - Waligóra, Budziarek, Artyszuk - Liczkowski, Chorążewicz, Milczarski, Roszczyk, Olejnicki - Kunda, Bernat.
HKS started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Lineup: Bardoux - Zakir, Malczewski, Smed, Maratos - Radonić, Valenzuela, Rivet, Gnatkowski - Górnikowski, Kavelashvili.
HKS seemed to prefer attacking in the middle.
V. Smed enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again.
HKS had several good opportunities to take the lead, especially 10 minutes in when
K. Malczewski came up alone against
K. Mińkowski who managed a block.
The referee showed Unikatos's
W. Budziarek the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Due to a severely mistimed tackle,
R. Kavelashvili of HKS spent some time on the grass writhing in agony before he could get up and continue the game.
With 22 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
J. Waligóra needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
After 23 minutes, HKS's
M. Gnatkowski made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1.
After 35 minutes, HKS's
B. Górnikowski burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2.
HKS players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead.
After 43 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
Y. Maratos a chance to increase the lead for HKS, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 3.
By now, the players in HKS felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
It was 0 - 3 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to HKS, who controlled the ball 69 percent of the time.
D. Radonić received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 65 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 4. The HKS fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
The visitors added to their lead 69 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by HKS's
M. Gnatkowski slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 5.
The home crowd was not impressed when
S. Zakir came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 78 minutes. HKS were now up 0 - 6.
After 79 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
J. Rivet who increased HKS's lead to 0 - 7.
HKS increased their lead after 81 minutes when
B. Górnikowski broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 8, much to the home crowd's dismay.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by HKS, with 71 percent of the ball.
Unikatos's best player was
A. Bernat.
However,
W. Budziarek made a disastrous appearance.
The most dominating HKS player was without a doubt
J. Valenzuela.
S. Zakir was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 8.
