After 25 minutes, a long pass from kindon's S. Rønningen caught the defence out of position. F. Worschech collected the ball, and with the goal at his mercy calmly rolled the ball just inside the post. 1 - 0. 29 minutes into the match, the speedy J. Kobza easily outpaced A. Saracina, chipped the keeper and made the score 2 - 0. B. Urquiola wanted to play on, but the kindon coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 30 minutes into the game by A. Ärlig. P. Dobre could have increased the lead after 32 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. kindon had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Cheers filled the stadium as J. Kobza broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to kindon. By now, the players in kindon felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. kindon's O. Pektay was shown a yellow card after 39 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After 41 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by S. Rønningen might have resulted in another goal for kindon. However, A. Natalicchio made a spectacular save. kindon's H. Håkansson was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - F. Worschech managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 4 - 0 after 42 minutes. kindon were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. Halftime score was 4 - 0. Possession in this half belonged to kindon, who controlled the ball 51 percent of the time.

The bench was restless, and with 46 minutes passed Pickwick's coach gave P. Scabbia the opportunity the player had been hoping for. A. Natalicchio reluctantly left the field.
