Hulin after 33 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 3. 35 minutes into the game, B. Wassink finished off a Byków left wing counterattack, making the score 0 - 4. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Byków lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. It was 0 - 4 at the break. Montalvanenses had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.

Attacking on the wings was the choice for Montalvanenses, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. An accurate cross from E. Kural of Byków was met with a wonderful glancing header from B. Wassink, hitting the inside base of the post before nestling into the back of the net for 0 - 5. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for B. Wassink. Montalvanenses had no available replacements when M. Morozzi had to leave the game after 59 minutes because of a pulled tendon, leaving the team a man short. T. Hulin finished off the counterattack of Byków from the left rather easily, making the score 0 - 6. The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as F. Schwerdt tried lifting the ball over keeper D. Capaguindegui. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar. Byków's D. Quinn made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 79 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Montalvanenses claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.
