Clouds darkened the skies at
Cholchoz Aréna as 3931 spectators turned up for the match.
Rino Ghizzoni was the appointed referee.
Hříšice decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Starters: Pennisi - Salomonsen, Zbořil, Babor - Fako, van Weeren, Heijne, Lánský - Havrlant, Javorek, Ducháč.
Saddhus had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
Lineup: Majolino - Tapparello, Beecker, Chuquín, Mrzygłód - Burgalat, Giesen, Halimi, Le Pape - Zaferson, Fotevski.
Saddhus saw most attack opportunities on the wings.
Saddhus were given a free kick 27 minutes into the game, just after a swift counter attack broke down. Rather than shooting straight at goal, it was directed at the area just in front of the keeper. The attackers made several runs and made it hard for the defenders to protect their goal. After a short tussle with a defender,
F. Mrzygłód could finally lay the ball to rest behind the keeper. 0 - 1, and proof it can pay off to come prepared.
Hříšice's
L. Javorek was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 29 minutes.
Saddhus were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings.
J. Lánský of Hříšice was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
After 38 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Saddhus found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
passable.
R. Fako still has a lot to learn. For instance, he should know not to make half-hearted passes in front of
K. Giesen, who easily scored for Saddhus, making it 0 - 2.
43 minutes into the game Hříšice broke through on the left wing and
T. Salomonsen managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 2.
After 44 minutes of play,
G. van Weeren evened things up for Hříšice with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2.
44 minutes in, Saddhus appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
weak.
The Hříšice free kick 44 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
L. Havrlant, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 2!
Saddhus had to make a substitution after 44 minutes.
M. Burgalat limped off the field and was replaced by
W. Grob.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 2.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Hříšice, with 64 percent of the ball.
A review of the gameplan helped Saddhus get back to a
solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
With 55 minutes played, the Saddhus coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around.
L. Haul came on,
M. Zaferson had to leave the fray.
56 minutes into the game, Saddhus had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
weak.
57 minutes in, Saddhus's
W. Grob received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Hříšice's
T. Salomonsen got himself booked for a foul.
Saddhus's
W. Grob went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention.
Saddhus's
S. Beecker was shown a yellow card after 70 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Saddhus had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
K. Giesen came close to levelling the score 77 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post.
80 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
M. Babor broke through, making the score 4 - 2 for Hříšice.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of Hříšice lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
K. Giesen could've grabbed a goal for Saddhus 81 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation.
Possession in this half belonged to Hříšice, who controlled the ball 64 percent of the time.
The most dominating Hříšice player was without a doubt
G. van Weeren.
On the other hand,
V. Pennisi's play was disheartening.
L. Haul performed admirably for Saddhus.
However,
S. Beecker made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 4 - 2.
