Scudo 1 - 3 Motivação (378618729)

The 1339 fans in attendance at Red Reserve were roasting in the hot sun. Friedrich Ruech was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Amadee Bilon and Volker Bordt. Scudo started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Villaseñor - Le Clercq, Bansa - Kohtakangas, Rapallo, Knapen, Kondracki, Giaimo - Etxekolenena, Staver, Näppä.

Motivação tactics involved an interesting 5-4-1 combination. Lineup: Gentry - Kerjean, Buarque, Oteiza, Puiu, Fürsicht - Teplyakov, Stark, Sæland, Versteegh - Uusikylä.

Motivação seemed to prefer attacking in the middle. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, S. Näppä scored for Scudo putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 9 minutes. J. Rapallo received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 29 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. Motivação's right side looked dangerous 31 minutes in, but R. Villaseñor made a good save on C. Fürsicht's hard shot to the top corner. The crowd was silenced 36 minutes into the match as the visiting team's K. Stark came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. 1 - 1 was the halftime score. Motivação enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 70 percent of possession.

Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 53 minutes into the match left Motivação's K. Sæland completely free to score. 1 - 2 for the visitors. A. Pressentin was called on to replace Scudo's M. Giaimo after 61 minutes following a nasty collision. With the scoreboard showing that 63 minutes had been played, Motivação nearly put themselves up another goal after C. Fürsicht came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. V. Teplyakov wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat. T. Kerjean was, after 76 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper R. Villaseñor made the save. The visitors' R. Oteiza took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 80 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for Motivação. The heat made it a terrible day for T. Kerjean, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. Motivação claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 70 percent.

The most dominating Scudo player was without a doubt A. Pressentin. On the other hand, T. Bansa's play was disheartening. Most important Motivação player was A. Puiu. T. Kerjean was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
