The 6225 spectators at The Volcano were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Milan Sečkáš was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Sebastian van den Hout and Preben Malling. Real decided to use a 4-5-1 set up. Lineup: Muhamed - Miholka, Singh, Gani, Waite - Sinclair, Denton, Herbert, Garbe, Letter - Teglborg.

Juvass tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Alsos - Caracchini, Kristiansen, Sjo, Jørgensen - Tonheim, Aasberg, Danielsen, Torvik - Krogsæter, Espeland.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Juvass. T. Danielsen enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. Juvass's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 7 minutes gone, but E. Tonheim's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. Many thought J. Garbe ought to have been awarded a penalty 16 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around C. Alsos after a determined run through the middle. A well placed corner kick from F. Kristiansen was followed by M. Jørgensen's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Juvass, the score now 0 - 1. O. Krogsæter left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 20 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. O. Hansen was the replacement. The Real free kick 27 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of L. Singh, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 1! Some great play up the middle by Real led to a chance for J. Garbe to score after 35 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Real, who controlled the ball 73 percent of the time.

The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to G. Sinclair, but the Real player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 2 - 1! Real put themselves up 3 - 1 when K. Miholka broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. The players of Real now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. 78 minutes in, Juvass appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only solid. With the clock showing 84 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Juvass resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by M. Jørgensen in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, G. Sinclair got himself booked. The manager of Real was not happy. Real claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 75 percent.

Real's top performer was clearly B. Herbert. On the other hand, K. Miholka's play was disheartening. The most dominating Juvass player was without a doubt E. Caracchini. C. Alsos turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
