Counter-attacking seemed to be the preferred strategy of Náchod. W. Łukaszczuk's lack of experience almost gave TJ-LOKOMOTIVA a goal after 11 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. 17 minutes into the match, Náchod nearly took the lead, as V. Chýlek broke through on the right. W. Brejnakowski made the save, however. B. Moré sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from C. Spatny after 23 minutes of play, making the score 1 - 0. L. Pěnčík tied the game at 1 - 1 after 25 minutes, when he converted an incredible pass from the right. They were singing the praises of E. Chrástecký 37 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 2 - 1 to TJ-LOKOMOTIVA. After 38 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after V. Baláž made it through the middle and struck home to make it 2 - 2. TJ-LOKOMOTIVA made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left B. Moré completely alone with keeper O. Mlček, who made a spectacular block. After 43 minutes TJ-LOKOMOTIVA's Ł. Kotowicz limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. 2 - 2 was the score after the first half. Náchod claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.

TJ-LOKOMOTIVA created a good opportunity to score 48 minutes into the match when R. Keserű's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. The celebrations in the stands could only mean one thing - C. Spatny's free kick had found the back of the net and put TJ-LOKOMOTIVA ahead 3 - 2! Possession in this half belonged to Náchod, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

The most dominating TJ-LOKOMOTIVA player was without a doubt M. Koneczna. E. Chrástecký on the other hand, had a terrible day. Náchod's top performer was clearly F. Marek. However, L. Ešner made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 2.
