(378761904)

02-05-2012 10.45
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 4422 that came out to
Tynecastle Volkspark.
Jean-Marc Canziani was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Heinz Hitz and
Carlo Witteman.
Jambos had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
Lineup: Hollinger - Mula, Mukherjee - Nevanen, Fassbender, Overbergh, Rahmoun, Monteiro Figueiredo - Amstein, Nestor, Azpurua.
A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for DJVS.
They fielded: Groenestein - Sautière, Corbey, Semlal, Ekkelenkamp - Metz, Menezes, Pazvant, van Anrooij - de Kam, Lubberding.
Jambos were very close to putting themselves one up after 4 minutes as
I. Amstein got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
Jambos's
A. Rahmoun had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 7 minutes having been played.
E. Quaderer was the replacement.
8 minutes into the game, DJVS had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
poor.
Many thought
I. Amstein ought to have been awarded a penalty 9 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around
A. Groenestein after a determined run through the middle.
After 24 minutes,
I. Amstein came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Jambos the lead.
Cheers filled the stadium as
Y. Nevanen broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 2 - 0 to Jambos.
It was 2 - 0 at the break.
Possession in this half belonged to Jambos, who controlled the ball 76 percent of the time.
A review of the gameplan helped DJVS get back to a
passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again.
With 49 minutes played,
D. Overbergh of Jambos fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 58 minute mark, DJVS's
M. Semlal hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
Jambos solidified their lead at the 60 minute mark, as
I. Amstein dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 0.
D. Overbergh had a fantastic opportunity to put Jambos up another goal 74 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
C. Nestor of Jambos received a yellow card after 77 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
79 minutes into the game, DJVS seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
wretched.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Jambos scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
A. Monteiro Figueiredo after 81 minutes.
The players of Jambos now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
DJVS's
R. Corbey was shown a yellow card after 83 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
Jambos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 80 percent of possession.
I. Amstein performed admirably for Jambos.
A. Monteiro Figueiredo on the other hand, had a terrible day.
DJVS's top performer was clearly
R. Lubberding.
On the other hand,
S. Pazvant's play was disheartening.
The match ends 4 - 0.
