F.C.TRP 0 - 5 BLEACH (378780438)

Clear skies welcomed the 1931 spectators who had made their way to GHENCEA. Thorbjørn Lønbæk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jean-Pierre Fichter and Wilhelm Pircher. F.C.TRP decided to use a 5-2-3 set up. The following players took the field: Bengtsson - Butuc, Zaletkin, Guimarães Santos, van den Bogaard, Stolojan - Feru, Hopu - Erić, Kempen, Kiedrowicz.

BLEACH started off with a 5-4-1 lineup. They fielded: Zanesi - Goria, Minati, Lorenzetti, Conforti, Cronby - Mortensen, Chatzistamatiou, Biebuyck, Bueno Silva - Aliotta.

F.C.TRP mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. The strategy for BLEACH was to use their ability to press. 5 minutes into the game, N. Aliotta almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. After 13 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as F.C.TRP found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. BLEACH's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. A. Bengtsson looked great 31 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' A. Bueno Silva. With 34 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, C. Lorenzetti needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. 38 minutes into the game, F.C.TRP seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a weak level of organisation. The terraces were silenced after 39 minutes when BLEACH's C. Lorenzetti put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right. F.C.TRP's K. van den Bogaard almost tied things up with 43 minutes played after breaking through on the right, but his shot deflected off the post. A. Bueno Silva of BLEACH took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 43 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 2. At this point, it was obvious that the players of BLEACH lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. 0 - 2 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by BLEACH, with 67 percent of the ball.

A review of the gameplan helped F.C.TRP get back to a passable organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. With 64 minutes played, BLEACH put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was J. Cronby. After 71 minutes of game time, A. Bueno Silva had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but A. Bengtsson was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner. 72 minutes into the game, F.C.TRP had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to passable. With the scoreboard showing that 75 minutes had been played, BLEACH nearly put themselves up another goal after J. Biebuyck came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. The home crowd was not impressed when N. Aliotta came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 77 minutes. BLEACH were now up 0 - 4. 81 minutes into the game, F.C.TRP seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to weak. An indecisive keeper looked on as a free kick by BLEACH's J. Biebuyck put the visitors up 0 - 5 after 82 minutes. BLEACH had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.

F.C.TRP's top performer was clearly B. Erić. A. Bengtsson was a disappointment, however. S. Chatzistamatiou performed admirably for BLEACH. On the other hand, J. Cronby's play was disheartening. The match ends 0 - 5.
