Clear skies welcomed the 1710 spectators who had made their way to Marazul Park. Lex Uiterwijk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Paulo Feliciano and Péter Csábi. Degerängets saw most attack opportunities on the wings. Degerängets's A. Jacobsson was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 14 minutes. At 31 minutes played, H. Sieg came in from the right with the intention of giving Marazul the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar. With 33 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as B. Gryzlak flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Coming in from the right, Degerängets had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 38 minutes, but V. Rikardsson's attempt to finish was easily stopped. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. By now, the players in Marazul felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. P. Lindgren of Degerängets was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Marazul's H. Sieg had an excellent opportunity after 88 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! 88 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when Degerängets's A. Jacobsson received his second yellow card and was sent off. J. Charrie's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Marazul, he bravely continued in the match. I. Mihai should probably have put his team up another goal after 89 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by M. Ballester kept the visitors in the game. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Marazul, with 60 percent of the ball.

Marazul's top performer was clearly Y. Spithoven. On the other hand, M. Campos's play was disheartening. The most dominating Degerängets player was without a doubt G. Dalnoki. However, B. Öholt made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 2 - 0.
