The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when N. Boonsuwan tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. R. Johansson was too alert for that! With 71 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of skäggos resulted in a counterattack that set S. Leeuwangh free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save. Unsportsmanlike behaviour by V. Fabiāns rendered him his second booking of the match, and Bangkok had to finish the game with a reduced squad. The rain made it hard for players like S. Leeuwangh to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day. C. Stensson slipped and slithered in the wet grass. His usual rapid runs were nowhere to be seen today. After 85 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave S. Leeuwangh a chance to increase the lead for skäggos, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 3 - 6. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by skäggos, with 51 percent of the ball.
