Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1514 to Sloeber Arena. Federico Simbula was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pavlo Nepiypyvo and Guy Nourissier. Sloeber used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. S. Bizzo gave Sloeber the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 After 16 minutes Duivels's A. Bragato limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. After 17 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Sloeber was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. Duivels caught their opponents out with a clever counterattack down the right wing 18 minutes into the match. A. Milbou was able to finish off the move - 1 - 1. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, R. Lummer got himself booked. The manager of Sloeber was not happy. A questionable penalty 31 minutes in gave the home side the lead, 2 - 1. The visitors' goalie didn't stand a chance as B. Zentai knocked the ball home. Duivels's A. Milbou was shown a yellow card after 32 minutes for slicing down an opponent. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Sloeber's A. Serra Vázquez increasing the lead to 3 - 1. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Sloeber claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 64 percent.

After 48 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Sloeber found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to passable. Cheers filled the stadium as R. Lummer broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 1 to Sloeber. After 74 minutes, a well-worked counterattack by Sloeber on the right presented an easy opportunity in front of the goal that was duly converted by K. Aelbrecht to make it 5 - 1. After 79 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by S. Bizzo might have resulted in another goal for Sloeber. However, A. Bragato made a spectacular save. Sloeber enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 64 percent of possession.

The most dominating Sloeber player was without a doubt S. Bizzo. On the other hand, R. Lummer's play was disheartening. Most important Duivels player was W. Weratschnig. A. Bragato turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 1.
