3066 spectators had found their way to Strong Light Arena, despite the heavy rain. Cristian Sarpe was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Micha Foltz and Gian Domenico Ardatazzi. Lipachi started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Starters: Warter - Mihov, Tonev - Kirov, Pons, Kuzmanov, Berruti, Vrabl - Vetrinis, Mintan, Vasilev.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Bar2y. They fielded: Länsimäki - Dănilă, bin Hj Hafiz, Faria - Yli-Kovero, Stolić, Omaña, bin Hj Addie, von Sonnenberg - bin Hj Zulhelmi, Weilerwist.

Lipachi took the lead 3 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as Z. Vetrinis elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. The crowd was silenced 10 minutes into the match as the visiting team's E. von Sonnenberg came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Bar2y had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

Some great play up the middle by Lipachi led to a chance for M. Mihov to score after 47 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar. V. Tonev, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. R. Faria was struggling to make the ball dance with his usual trickery and panache, and the opposing players had little trouble shutting him down in these muddy conditions. The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of Bar2y's S. bin Hj Zulhelmi after 73 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead. After 74 minutes of play, P. Kirov evened things up for Lipachi with an impressive goal coming up the middle. 2 - 2. P. Kirov's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert R. Mintan was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Lipachi. 3 - 2. 77 minutes into the game, Lipachi's C. Pons surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to R. Mintan who easily found the back of the net, making the score 4 - 2. The players of Lipachi now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. Bar2y managed to reduce the score to 4 - 3 as T. Dănilă finished off a well-played combination from the left, easily carving through the defence. After 79 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by M. Mihov might have resulted in another goal for Lipachi. However, P. Länsimäki made a spectacular save. Bar2y had to make a substitution after 80 minutes. R. Faria limped off the field and was replaced by F. Dörflein. Lipachi's R. Mintan had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 82 minutes having been played. A. Balev was the replacement. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bar2y, with 52 percent of the ball.

Lipachi's best player was Z. Vetrinis. On the other hand, A. Balev's play was disheartening. Most important Bar2y player was S. bin Hj Zulhelmi. T. bin Hj Hafiz was a disappointment, however. The match ends 4 - 3.
