01-05-2012 19.30
It had rained all day, but 573 hardy fans still made it out to
Ljubljanska Arena.
Dimitar Rangelov was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Enrique Morales and
Harald Astl.
A 3-4-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Šmarna.
Lineup: Senica - Bertoldi, Middelraad, Malus - Vrečar, Weinstock, Braem, Le Borgne - Kobl, Janžel, Dudaszek.
P.SZ.H.K. started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
They fielded: Ehscheidt - Mellér, Gajer, Váradi - Paulik, Westergaard Børgesen, Üres, Mlinárik, Éder - Malecz, Evandri.
The terraces were silenced after 11 minutes when P.SZ.H.K.'s
A. Evandri put the guests ahead 0 - 1, following an attack on the right.
J. Mellér didn't let the weather get him down and made some great moves on the pitch in spite of the rain.
The visitors'
A. Evandri took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 14 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for P.SZ.H.K..
J. Göransson was called on to replace P.SZ.H.K.'s
L. Paulik after 15 minutes following a nasty collision.
Just a few inches to the right, and the visitors could have had a goal 21 minutes into the match.
M. Éder surely wishes he could do that free kick over again.
P. Gajer of P.SZ.H.K. took advantage of a mistake on the home side's right after 23 minutes which increased the away team's lead to 0 - 3.
With 25 minutes played, Šmarna's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to

M. Westergaard Børgesen increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 5.
The rain made it hard for players like
P. Gajer to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day.
The bench was restless, and with 57 minutes passed Šmarna's coach gave
P. Hermansson the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
R. Dudaszek reluctantly left the field.
The home team's supporters got excited again when
P. Hermansson broke through the visitors' central defence and caught their keeper off guard, making it 2 - 5.

M. Éder received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
78 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 2 - 6 as
D. Mlinárik finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
W. Weinstock spent most of the time in a heap on the ground today, his normally rapid movement hindered by the slippery pitch.
After 85 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
J. Mellér a chance to increase the lead for P.SZ.H.K., and he did not disappoint. The score was then 2 - 7.
By now, the players in P.SZ.H.K. felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
P.SZ.H.K. had most of the ball, with 67 percent of possession.
The most dominating Šmarna player was without a doubt

M. Westergaard Børgesen.
However,
Y. Ehscheidt made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 2 - 7.
