It had rained all day, but 2420 hardy fans still made it out to Terrordome. José María Lince was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Giovanni Nelli and Sami Viljakainen. Zizkickoff clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. A lack of experience caused M. Gulyás to make a difficult dribble close to dangerous opponent B. Žůrek of Zizkickoff, who took the opportunity to score making it 1 - 0. 15 minutes into the game FCK's T. Steffensen found a gap in the home side's central defence and scored with a fabulous shot, making it 1 - 1. It was a bad day for the usually speedy M. Gulyás. The mud seemed to slow him down. A. Ješić of FCK was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. With 27 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. F. Proca put the ball away for 1 - 2. A. Rubens was called on to replace FCK's M. Potocki after 33 minutes following a nasty collision. With 35 minutes played, A. Ješić nearly put the visitors another one up as he broke through in the middle and fired from just outside the box, but his shot passed just over the bar. The visitors' M. Gulyás took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 37 minutes into the match. 1 - 3 for FCK. K. Egberink was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. T. Steffensen received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 39 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 4. The FCK fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. It was 1 - 4 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by FCK, with 85 percent of the ball.

The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Kracík from Zizkickoff a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 56 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 57 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave M. Blaeser a chance to increase the lead for FCK, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 5. At this point, it was obvious that the players of FCK lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 73 minutes, FCK's F. Proca burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 6. F. Pelloni increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 1 - 7. FCK's A. Klepetko was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 82 minutes. B. Žůrek was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Zizkickoff counterattack from the left after 84 minutes. His neat finish made the score 2 - 7. FCK increased the lead to 2 - 8 as A. Bucciol scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. FCK had most of the ball, with 85 percent of possession.

Zizkickoff's top performer was clearly F. Bezděk. On the other hand, E. Herák's play was disheartening. A. Rubens performed admirably for FCK. F. Proca on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 2 - 8.
