200 spectators arrived at T'Half Kieken, where weather conditions were pretty good for football. Ville Sankala was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Pentti Rautio and Julio Gemser. Beirkes started off with a 3-4-3 lineup. Starters: Blasch - Pérez, Vanaken, Tužil - Hayot, De Paepe, Krzysik, Verstraeten - Demot, Riese, Dormal.

A 2-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for HTG_Likert. They fielded: François - Solem, Bertòn - D'Occhio, Manetti, Persson, Domani, Czár - Sicre, Hirsch.

Beirkes used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. HTG_Likert made it 0 - 1 as P. Persson got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to P. D'Occhio who whipped a low drive in off the far post. The pressing tactics used by Beirkes were successful as the ball remained close to the half way line at all times. The home crowd was pulling their hair out after H. Demot missed a penalty shot by miles 31 minutes into the game. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 38 minutes gave Beirkes a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and M. De Paepe stepped up to the challenge. 1 - 1 43 minutes in, HTG_Likert appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only inadequate. 43 minutes into the game, Beirkes's J. Dormal surprised the visitors with a raking cross-field pass to H. Demot who easily found the back of the net, making the score 2 - 1. Beirkes put in a good effort on the right, but M. Tužil saw his volley fly wide of the mark 44 minutes into the game. 44 minutes into the game, HTG_Likert seemed to suffer a certain amount of confusion and they fell to a wretched level of organisation. A. Domani of HTG_Likert received a yellow card after 44 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Halftime score was 2 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Beirkes, with 56 percent of the ball.

Despite his frustration resulting in the smashing of a few teacups, the coach of HTG_Likert was able to get his message across, and raised HTG_Likert's organisation to inadequate. Beirkes solidified their lead at the 68 minute mark, as N. Verstraeten dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 3 - 1. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. De Paepe got himself booked. The manager of Beirkes was not happy. 82 minutes into the game, N. Verstraeten finished off a Beirkes left wing counterattack, making the score 4 - 1. Beirkes pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Beirkes enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 58 percent of possession.

Beirkes's top performer was clearly H. Demot. J. Hayot was a disappointment, however. The most dominating HTG_Likert player was without a doubt G. Bertòn. C. Hirsch on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 1.
