Klee 0 - 0 Scorton
(378891838)

01-05-2012 18.30
The crowd of 2730 turning up at
Kleewiese today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain.
Jochen Scaloni was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Daniel Capelo and
José María Barquera.
Klee decided to use a 5-4-1 set up.
The following players took the field: Brodersen - Önel, Wildeshausen, Ladurner, Sazan, Jongenelen - Bergfleth, Rickinger, Garzón, Marjuki - Kinnell.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Scorton.
Starters: Ariff - Mohd Ehsan, bin Rabin, Chun Chun - Deuchar, bin Muhamad, Voica, bin Ahmad, Yi Kiong - Parigi, Vanhatalo.
Klee had a chance to take the lead after
D. Marjuki's dazzling drive up the left, but the opportunity fizzled out as his shot went just over the bar after 31 minutes.
The rain made it hard for players like
G. Chun Chun to show their technical control of the ball on this soggy day.
A counterattack by Klee after 41 minutes could have resulted in a goal, but
A. Garzón, coming in on the left, couldn't get the shot off.
After 42 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Scorton was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
0 - 0 was the halftime score.
Scorton enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.
The muddy pitch made the game a gritty affair, which seemed to suit
N. Mohd Ehsan just fine.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
R. Jongenelen got himself booked. The manager of Klee was not happy.
Scorton's
S. Voica got himself booked for a foul.
In a fantastic display of determination, Klee's
A. Wildeshausen forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
H. Vanhatalo from Scorton a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 80 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
D. Marjuki of Klee had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game.
W. Gręda came in to finish the match.
W. Gręda was the new captain of Klee - handed the armband by the departing player.
Unsportsmanlike behaviour by
R. Jongenelen rendered him his second booking of the match, and Klee had to finish the game with a reduced squad.
Scorton claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.
Most important Klee player was
E. Bergfleth.
On the other hand,
W. Gręda's play was disheartening.
The most dominating Scorton player was without a doubt
S. Voica.
D. Parigi on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 0 - 0.
