Due to an all-day shower, 3082 paying spectators got to see a match on a pitch-turned-bog at My Love Arena. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave T. Bratu from Love a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 41 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! M. Gloede of Amberg was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. With 44 minutes played, M. Coruţiu of Love fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 44 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed A. Schliep to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 2. Halftime score was 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Amberg, with 53 percent of the ball.

Amberg had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead. With 67 minutes played, Amberg put themselves up 0 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was M. Gloede. Confident in their lead, Amberg's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. The home side worked their way through the middle and almost got one back when O. Pintean tried to sneak the ball past the keeper. C. Schuon was too alert for that! Attacking on the wings was the choice for Amberg, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. M. Gloede could have put his team up another goal 76 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. Love's T. Bratu cut towards the middle after 77 minutes, receiving a brilliant pass and slicing through the visiting team's central defence, reducing the lead to 1 - 3. Amberg had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Love's top performer was clearly M. Coruţiu. On the other hand, T. Balea's play was disheartening. H. Khawwas performed admirably for Amberg. C. Reister turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
