Charlie 4 - 3 Mokum (378963101)

Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Charlie Bikers Arena saw a crowd turnout of 4112. Alain Schönenberger was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Andre Sassendorf and Thomas Beck. Charlie started off with a 2-5-3 lineup. Lineup: Trojahn - Nováček, Rosianu - Pizzi, Iriart, Hårstad, de Jong, Potužák - Favero, Pacák, Chuděj.

A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Mokum. They fielded: Mischi - van Hattem, Sørdal - Narkis, Al Malky, Mtangi, Labattaglia, Tiddia - Skov, Halcón, Strulak.

Mokum preferred to finish off their attacks from a distance. With 3 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. F. Al Malky put the ball away for 0 - 1. After 8 minutes of play, D. Iriart equalised for Charlie after an elegant attack from the right. F. Al Malky would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. D. Baresi entered the game for Mokum as the match clock showed 21 minutes. P. Tiddia became the new Mokum captain. After 32 minutes Mokum showed some great patience outside the penalty area, waiting until C. Mtangi could find the right opportunity to finish off the attack from distance. The long shot, however, was an easy catch for H. Trojahn. In a rapid move 36 minutes into the match, P. Halcón of Mokum lost his man and passed the ball to the unmarked P. Strulak who easily hit it home to make it 1 - 2. Luckily the ref didn't see him taunting the opposing fans in celebration - naughty boy! Mokum's E. Narkis was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - P. Strulak managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 1 - 3 after 37 minutes. By now, the players in Mokum felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Charlie's B. Favero got the home crowd going when he finished off a left wing charge, reducing the away team's lead to 2 - 3. A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from P. Halcón after 40 minutes, and prevented Mokum from going up another goal. Charlie's E. Hårstad left the field after 41 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was E. de Groen. 2 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession of the ball saw an equal split between the teams during the forty-five minutes.

The coach of Mokum was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 46 minutes, G. Brandín came on for P. Tiddia. The Mokum captaincy was handed to T. Sørdal. With 63 minutes played, E. Nováček of Charlie fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Charlie had to make a substitution after 65 minutes. A. de Jong limped off the field and was replaced by J. Kezić. Following a foul after 70 minutes, Charlie got themselves a free kick just outside the penalty area. R. Pizzi levelled the scoreline - 3 - 3. 71 minutes into the match and the home team took a 4 - 3 lead after breaking through on the left. The scorer for Charlie was B. Favero. The bench was restless, and with 75 minutes passed Mokum's coach gave S. Walnik the opportunity the player had been hoping for. T. Sørdal reluctantly left the field. J. van Hattem was handed the Mokum captain's armband. Charlie enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.

The most dominating Charlie player was without a doubt J. Kezić. H. Trojahn turned in a dismal performance, however. Mokum's best player was J. Skov. However, J. van Hattem made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 4 - 3.
