Dark skies made the crowd of 1089 at Stadion miejski im. Braci Briggs a little nervous, but the rain held off. Kristian London was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Johan Larsson and Oreste Aste. Polimer tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Hagi of Polimer displayed some of his fantastic technical abilities when he brought the ball down neatly using his instep before nutmegging the bewildered K. Jałowiecki and smashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper to make it 2 - 0. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Polimer to 3 - 0 as R. Gálvez finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. After 22 minutes, P. Gordzielik put Polimer ahead 4 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. 4 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Polimer, who controlled the ball 66 percent of the time.

Cheers filled the stadium as L. Corradetti broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to Polimer. By now, the players in Polimer felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. There was concern in the stands when, at the 49 minute mark, Świerklany's Z. Sobota hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. Coming from the right, L. Corradetti almost managed to score another goal for Polimer, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. C. Hagi of Polimer received a yellow card after 53 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Polimer increased the lead as C. Hagi struck to make the score 6 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. Polimer had most of the ball, with 68 percent of possession.

The most dominating Polimer player was without a doubt C. Hagi. W. Gruettner turned in a dismal performance, however. Świerklany's top performer was clearly K. Littwin. Y. Benodis was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 0.
