921 fans braved the pouring rain at Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan. András Zsoldos was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Karol Gabryszak and Jean de Hoog. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Fone. Fone showed off their creative tactics. OUZPKP mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. M. Hargan, who often relies on his speed, had a rotten day on the drenched grass. After 13 minutes Fone's A. Gallardo limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. After 17 minutes, OUZPKP sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached L. Jagpal, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 1. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Pienimäki from OUZPKP a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 18 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! A loud groan was heard from the fans of Fone, as L. Peronja left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. T. Thees took his place on the field. With 24 minutes played, A. Ruiz of Fone fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The Fone free kick 25 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of F. Malagrida, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 1! O. Osik received some harsh words from his coach after he acted foolishly 28 minutes into the match, probably out of lack of experience, and almost let an opponent score. The visiting M. Hargan was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 34 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. Fone's A. Gallardo was shown a yellow card after 36 minutes for slicing down an opponent. OUZPKP were worse off though, as A. Stańdo was unable to finish the game and no more substitutes were available! After a fatal mistake from the away team's right side defence 39 minutes into the match, an alert A. Ruiz bagged the ball for Fone, levelling the score to 2 - 2. One of many good crosses from G. Oliveira Antunes on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by H. Mitov, who scored for Fone. 3 - 2 The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 2. Fone had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

Fone's A. Ramo Valero increased the lead to 4 - 2, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 47 minutes. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Fone scored another to make it 5 - 2 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for T. Thees after 52 minutes. After 58 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and G. Oliveira Antunes gave the Fone supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 6 - 2. OUZPKP reduced the lead after 61 minutes to 6 - 3 as J. Gorčík easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Fone, with 52 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Fone player was without a doubt T. Thees. A. Ruiz on the other hand, had a terrible day. Most important OUZPKP player was M. Hargan. L. Jagpal turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 6 - 3.
