08-05-2012 19.20
Dark skies made the crowd of 1680 at
San Gennaro a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Sebastiano De Milato was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Fuco Caride and
Marcelo Cabral.
Mazzarri decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
Starters: Buşe - Warecki, Zoli, Castelló, Slezák - Dirlmeier, Ferreira, Brđović, Pärn - Pescarmona, Popa.
Setagaya had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation.
The following players took the field: 大澤 (Osawa) - Simões, Peroliu, 増田 (Masuda), Koene - 根本 (Nemoto), Oonishi, Blanchy, Huguet - Zucca, Villaseca.
Pressing was the tactic of the day for Mazzarri.
With 16 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending.
R. Villaseca put the ball away for 0 - 1.
Mazzarri's ability to press all over the field frequently paid dividends.
After 37 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
G. Zucca a chance to increase the lead for Setagaya, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2.
After this, you could see that the players of Setagaya were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
The coach of Setagaya was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 44 minutes,
P. Leschev came on for
R. Villaseca.
Halftime score was 0 - 2.
Setagaya enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
K. Oonishi left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 46 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.
S. Gries was the replacement.
As the captain was no longer on the pitch,
S. Gries took over the role of being the Setagaya captain.
After 50 minutes of game time,
桂. 増田 (Masuda) had an excellent opportunity to add to the visitors' lead, clipping a volley hooked in from the right, but
G. Buşe was in the right place and tipped the ball over for a corner.
The Setagaya free kick 73 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
P. Leschev, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 3!
Some fine movement on the left led to a Setagaya goal after 74 minutes, making it 0 - 4.
P. Leschev was noted down as the scorer.
After 84 minutes, Setagaya's
桂. 増田 (Masuda) burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5.
Setagaya had most of the ball, with 60 percent of possession.
The most dominating Mazzarri player was without a doubt
D. Popa.
On the other hand,
U. Dirlmeier's play was disheartening.
Setagaya's top performer was clearly
P. Leschev.
桂. 増田 (Masuda) was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 0 - 5.
