(379079641)

08-05-2012 19.05
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 1002 to
Werder Gremen Wartensteiner Stadion.
Péter Ember was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Nikolaj Vrečar and
Borja Inchurandieta.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Werder.
Starters: Spedaletti - Fáñez, Udda - Tomeo, Musella, Nannicini, Zanchetta, Mescalchin - Laghi, Kofoed, Parracciani.
Mestre started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
Lineup: Kapina - Bassetta, Seillier, Papa, Paccassoni - Guarise, Bottino, Chubarev, Lovisi - Raiola, Giovenco.
16 minutes into the game, Werder seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
Mestre's
B. Giovenco got himself booked for a foul.
Many thought
H. Kofoed ought to have been awarded a penalty 27 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around
M. Kapina after a determined run through the middle.
39 minutes into the game,
N. Parracciani had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
E. Mancino.
After 40 minutes,
G. Nannicini came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Werder the lead.
41 minutes in, Werder appeared unsure on how to play and their organisation was only
weak.
1 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Werder, with 65 percent of the ball.
The coach gave his players an extra tactical briefing during the break, and after that Werder had
solid organisation.
Werder's
G. Udda saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 51 minutes.
After 56 minutes, there was a bit of a mixup on the field as Werder found themselves out of position and their organisation level dropped to
inadequate.
Mestre's
G. Raiola finished emphatically to make the score 1 -1 after 57 minutes, after the enigmatic
V. Chubarev pulled a delightful long pass from his box of tricks to bypass the defence.
E. Reguero Manjón was called on to replace Werder's
P. Laghi after 76 minutes following a nasty collision.
82 minutes into the game, Werder had difficulty finding their positions and their organisation dropped to
weak.
Possession in this half belonged to Werder, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.
Werder's best player was
E. Mancino.
G. Udda turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating Mestre player was without a doubt
M. Bottino.
However,
B. Guarise made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 1.
