previous 7/10 next 9/10  Tatanki 3 - 1 JULKAP (379140082)

Clear skies welcomed the 1735 spectators who had made their way to WIKTORIA ARENA. David Gómez was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Russell Ritter and Odd Andersen. Tatanki had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. The following players had been chosen: Bergmann - Merimi, Pedrosa, Korus - Cichorek, Rolfsen, Mosurek, Kościółek - Camelo, Karamon, Hielz.

JULKAP decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Starters: Botić - Nisiewicz, Jędryczka, Gicala - Łazarz, Garczyński, Jędruszko, Škrbić, Świerczyński - Piśniak, Kosterski.

Today, JULKAP's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when F. Świerczyński was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 3 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! The home side put themselves ahead 1 - 0 after 21 minutes courtesy of a breakthrough from L. Mosurek, who scored with a stunning volley following a cross from the right wing. After 25 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and B. Camelo gave the Tatanki supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 2 - 0. With 28 minutes played, R. Kosterski had a fantastic opportunity to reply but his shot flew harmlessly into the side-netting of the goal. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by JULKAP, with 55 percent of the ball.

A. Jędruszko could've grabbed a goal for JULKAP 50 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation. Tatanki put in a good effort on the right, but K. Korus saw his volley fly wide of the mark 52 minutes into the game. JULKAP's F. Nisiewicz had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 66 minutes having been played. F. Szymaniak was the replacement. The away team improved the scoreline to 2 - 1, as R. Kosterski struck home, set up well by a play on the left 67 minutes into the match. A well-executed free kick by B. Merimi after 73 minutes made it 3 - 1 for Tatanki. JULKAP kept trying to force their way through on the right side and K. Piśniak got his chance after 76 minutes, but the home side's defence held their position and stopped the attack. JULKAP enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 55 percent of possession.

Tatanki's best player was L. Mosurek. M. Kościółek turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important JULKAP player was N. Škrbić. F. Szymaniak on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 1.
