A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 4499 to Che Guevara Arena. Diego Fernández was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Lennart Jaakkola and Pravoslav Plachý. After 35 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by S. Ivić might have resulted in another goal for MAKU. However, J. Porto Ferro made a spectacular save. MAKU's Z. Ambrož increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 36 minutes. Halftime score was 3 - 0. MAKU had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

S. Ivić wasn't much help defensively. His energy-consuming forward runs proved quite costly in the oppressive heat. 62 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as T. Tábor broke through, making the score 4 - 0 for MAKU. Confident in their lead, MAKU's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Z. Ambrož could have put MAKU up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 77 minutes. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by MAKU, with 57 percent of the ball.

Most important MAKU player was T. Tábor. J. Samanamud on the other hand, had a terrible day. Weber's top performer was clearly J. Brun. On the other hand, J. Porto Ferro's play was disheartening. The match ends 4 - 0.
