It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 3748 that came out to Stadium of Night. Ioan Georgescu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Roni Liljeroos and Jérémy Grolleau. NKV were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. U-66 took a creative approach on the field. The sun seemed to put S. Strpić in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. NKV took the lead 29 minutes in, as S. Gradinarski broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper. NKV's S. Gradinarski was dominating his wing and kept sending fine balls into the opposition's box - M. Loginov managed to volley one of them into the net to make it 2 - 0 after 32 minutes. Things were deteriorating for the away team as NKV scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for P. Doychinov after 33 minutes. By now, the players in NKV felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. NKV put themselves up 4 - 0 when B. Recchia broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of NKV to 5 - 0 as G. Abdala finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. With 42 minutes played, NKV's G. Abdala almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Loginov from NKV a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 43 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! It was 5 - 0 at the break. NKV claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 67 percent.

Coming from the right, M. Jokiniemi almost managed to score another goal for NKV, but his header was tipped over the bar by the visitors' keeper. 55 minutes were showing on the scoreboard when NKV's M. Loginov received his second yellow card and was sent off. J. Céspedes should probably have put his team up another goal after 56 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by S. Perišić kept the visitors in the game. S. Gradinarski had a fantastic opportunity to put NKV up another goal 66 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. NKV's B. Recchia increased the lead to 6 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 70 minutes. M. Jokiniemi left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 80 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. D. Šustić was the replacement. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by NKV, with 67 percent of the ball.

The most dominating NKV player was without a doubt N. Stoyanov. G. Abdala on the other hand, had a terrible day. U-66's best player was S. Pasini. D. Barišić was a disappointment, however. The match ends 6 - 0.
