It was almost a goal for LIM 03 following J. Galeote's good header after a corner, it went just over the bar though. J. de Moxó could have increased the lead after 32 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. With the clock showing 33 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Eagles resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by M. Currenti in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high. It was 1 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by LIM 03, with 53 percent of the ball.

The LIM 03 players spent the break getting a rerun of the team's tactical organisation and regained a solid organisation when the game started again. LIM 03 had a good opportunity to attack on the wing, but remembered their instructions to go for middle attacks. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. R. Valdés squirmed through their central defence after 49 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Content with how the game was proceeding, the LIM 03 coach let A. Viñal replace A. Dolarroga wanted to play on, but the LIM 03 coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 85 minutes into the game by S. da Costa.
