16-05-2012 15.20
The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 1934 had shown up at
stadio della citadella for the match.
Michael Ekenblom was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jean-Noël Van Doorslaar and
Jaume Ballester.
corti started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Rateau - Ferchichi, Fraticelli, Lavie - Guillaumin, Méresse, Treille, Lopez, Pied - Ramon, Lebrun.
A.C.S.J had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Laasonen - Zeuwts, Frötorp, Nuojua - Mioduski, Avaroma, Tastula, Purkantie, Brachman - Hyby, Denac.
Today, A.C.S.J's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks.
Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 8 minutes into the match left A.C.S.J's
Z. Mioduski completely free to score. 0 - 1 for the visitors.
O. Treille of corti was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 22 minutes played,
M. Méresse of corti made the score 1 - 1.
corti created a good opportunity to score 23 minutes into the match when
P. Guillaumin's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball.
Players in A.C.S.J heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead.
The home crowd was not impressed by the fancy moves of A.C.S.J's
T. Frötorp after 27 minutes. He converted a pass from the left for a goal, resulting in the visitors taking the 1 - 2 lead.
The crowd roared in delight as
P. Ramon finished off a spectacular series of passes through the middle to even the score for corti 29 minutes into the match. 2 - 2.
2 - 2 was the halftime score.
corti enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 61 percent of possession.
corti took the lead 49 minutes into the game by 3 - 2, as
J. Lebrun elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
corti managed to extend their lead to 4 - 2 when
D. Fraticelli cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
J. Purkantie from A.C.S.J a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 53 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Still trailing on the score board, A.C.S.J adjusted their tactics after 55 minutes.
Z. Brachman had a quick chat at the side line, then switched positions with
M. Denac.
The bench was restless, and with 57 minutes passed A.C.S.J's coach gave
T. Sfikopoulos the opportunity the player had been hoping for.
Z. Brachman reluctantly left the field.
A.C.S.J's
T. Tastula got himself booked for a foul.
The referee showed A.C.S.J's
G. Zeuwts the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Some things can only be learned through experience, and
E. Lopez should take his lesson to heart after nearly gifting A.C.S.J a goal with 65 minutes of the match played.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in corti's
P. Ramon increasing the lead to 5 - 2.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by corti, with 60 percent of the ball.
Most important corti player was
P. Ramon.
D. Fraticelli on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The most dominating A.C.S.J player was without a doubt
O. Hyby.
M. Laasonen was a disappointment, however.
The match ends 5 - 2.
