The 1190 fans in attendance at Pythons Arena were roasting in the hot sun. Hanns-Ulrich Heilbronner was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Stefan Larsson and Vincent Ohlstedt. Today, BPU's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The BPU free kick 26 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of I. Sánchez Rubio, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 1 - 0! The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave K. Žáčko from BPU a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 32 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! F. Gautier's lack of experience almost gave BPU a goal after 41 minutes, but the shot went right into the keeper's arms. With 42 minutes played, BPU put themselves up 2 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to J. Riber, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. After 43 minutes, nono59's G. Perrier fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! A. MacSween enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again. 44 minutes into the match nono59's G. Pasturczak head butted an opponent nastily, and so the referee sent him off immediately. BPU managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when P. Quéguiner cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After 44 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by C. Hultblom might have resulted in another goal for BPU. However, D. Lisiecki made a spectacular save. The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0. nono59 enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

The score became 4 - 0 at 68 minutes into the game, when BPU were given a penalty which C. Amstein blasted straight down the middle giving the keeper no chance! After this, you could see that the players of BPU were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. C. Hultblom could have increased the lead after 75 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. After 76 minutes, BPU raised their score by one when J. Narvarte's dangerous low cross was cleverly tucked in at the near post by I. Sánchez Rubio. 5 - 0. C. Hultblom sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from C. Amstein after 77 minutes of play, making the score 6 - 0. The visitors replied 78 minutes into the game, reducing the home side's lead to 6 - 1, as S. Anton dashed up the middle, easily lobbing the ball over the home team's keeper. BPU's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing A. MacSween to score easily from the right flank for 7 - 1. It was obvious that BPU had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. After 86 minutes, J. Riber put BPU ahead 8 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. With 87 minutes played, J. Narvarte of BPU fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Possession in this half belonged to nono59, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.

BPU's best player was C. Amstein. On the other hand, J. Riber's play was disheartening. nono59's top performer was clearly F. Gautier. However, D. Lisiecki made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 8 - 1.
