Weather conditions were fairly good for football, and Stade Bollaert saw a crowd turnout of 1688. Beuf, who made a spectacular block. After 14 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Lichonneux's M. 't Hoen being carried off the pitch and replaced by A. Marais. Lichonneux had a good opportunity to take the lead as T. Piittinen came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of M. Beuf. There was concern in the stands when, at the 23 minute mark, Lichonneux's B. Kilik hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. With 29 minutes played, A. Picaud of Pétillants fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to T. Werners, but the Lichonneux player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! 35 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as A. Marais broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Lichonneux. After this, you could see that the players of Lichonneux were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Lichonneux enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 92 percent of possession.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. A. Mayeur squirmed through their central defence after 51 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Lichonneux's T. Piittinen got himself booked for a foul. Lichonneux's A. Claramunt saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 62 minutes. K. Búrzashki could have put Lichonneux up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 65 minutes. 76 minutes into the game, Lichonneux were awarded a penalty that J. Puukangas turned into 4 - 0 without a problem. Lichonneux's opponents know to be wary of Y. Révillon's speed, but it made little difference as he flew past the defence 82 minutes into the game. Only the keeper could stop him - and he did with a perfectly timed dive! Lichonneux were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Lichonneux's A. Claramunt increasing the lead to 5 - 0. Lichonneux's F. Akoumianakis was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 85 minutes. Lichonneux had most of the ball, with 92 percent of possession.

Lichonneux's top performer was clearly A. Mayeur. W. Schönbächler turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Pétillants player was G. David. M. Beuf was a disappointment, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
